What the new complaint says
AboutLawsuits reported that Stewart sued Nevro and Globus over a spinal cord stimulator that he says failed after implantation. The complaint says Stewart received a Nevro trial device in September 2025 and later received a permanent Nevro HFX implant. The filing says he first felt pain relief, then reported painful electric shocks, burning at the implant site, and neck pain.
The complaint alleges Nevro representatives told Stewart that reprogramming could address the problem. Stewart claims the device leads had migrated out of position and that continued shocks made the injury worse. AboutLawsuits reported that Stewart seeks compensatory and punitive damages. The court filing states allegations only; it does not establish liability or causation.
California MDL issue
AboutLawsuits reported that Boston Scientific spinal cord stimulator cases were consolidated earlier this year in the Central District of California, and that plaintiffs have asked the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to centralize Nevro and Abbott spinal cord stimulator cases in the same district.
