ABC7 reported that the deputy was responding to a call about an unconscious person in the road in Cudahy when the deputy's vehicle collided with another car.

FOX 11 Los Angeles reported that the crash happened around 1:20 a.m. near Atlantic Boulevard and Sheila Street. ABC7 reported the crash time as about 1:30 a.m. at South Atlantic Boulevard near Sheila Street.
What injuries did local outlets report?
ABC7 reported that the driver of the car struck by the deputy died at the scene. FOX 11 reported that a third vehicle was also involved and that the driver of that vehicle was not injured. CBS Los Angeles reported that the deputy driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
