John Nojima earned a full basketball scholarship to CSU Dominguez Hills, where he was named team captain, All-Conference, and a California Rhodes Scholar finalist. He won the Woody Hayes NCAA Division II Scholar Athlete of the Year award and was named Outstanding Graduate.
He earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University in Finance and Marketing before pursuing law at Pepperdine University School of Law.
After law school, John spent five years at a large corporate insurance defense firm, where he learned, from the inside, every tactic insurers use against injury victims. He founded his own practice before joining forces with David Lederer. He has been at Lederer & Nojima for 19+ years and has recovered an estimated $30-40 million for injury clients.
