By September 21, 2021No Comments

$400,000 Settlement. CHP employee sustained injuries when she slipped and fell on a wet floor while walking down the hallway at work. The cleaning crew cleaned the floor but neglected to place any warning signs that the floor was wet. As a result, Plaintiff injured her left elbow and left knee, which required two knee surgeries. Defendant and the insurance company denied liability and even argued that warning signs were placed at the time of the incident. Thorough investigation by Lederer and Nojima revealed that this was not true and warning signs in fact had not been placed in the location of the incident. Ultimately, only after bringing Defendant to two mediations did Defendant offer to settle the case for $400,000. The client was pleased with the settlement.
